The New Educational Partnership


The basis of previous educational partnerships was access to libraries, books and faculty.   The digital revolution changes the access and social dynamic in amazing ways that are sometimes described as distance education, community or service learning.   What is still critical is the infrastructure of trust, reciprocity and cultural skills.   How do we create those spaces for learning together?   One place are the blogs that report this new reality!

What is the message of this next generation?  Central to these narratives is faith and courage!   They are creative, strong and are sustained by a community that provides care to them as they care for and about others in some very difficult settings.

Educational Partnerships

This is a return trip to Kenya and as always there are questions about goals and activities.

More medical students and residents are looking to participate in international rotations!  Many have had international experience and look to learn and share in a new environment.

What are the educational models that work?  Are there partnership models that work across cultural barriers?  The answer is "Yes", but the details are critical to the success.    We will try and find those details!
